Earth Flower Wilding is a curation of holistic, creative & nature based workshops & classes. Heartfeltly delivered by mindfulness & nature play advocate Alicia Langford. An environmental educator, conservationist, botanical stylist, artist & kids yoga teacher.
The Story
Born an eternal creative & nature lover, it was during many years working within the retail industry & after having my children, I realised how removed our society is becoming from nature. It profoundly concerned me that our lives, & in particular children’s lives, are increasingly being dominated by screens & consumerism & how this may be impacting our health, children’s development & the condition of the environment.
Witnessing electronic devices encroaching on childhoods & peoples lives around me, & how our modern day lives have conditioned us to be blindly engrossed in the well orchestrated wheel of consumerism disturbed me. I wondered how the effects of industrialisation were influencing our well being & the planet, which spurred me onto a quest of nature connection & conservation advocacy.
I’m a qualified florist, certified kids yoga teacher & artist who has studied conservation & land management. Deeply passionate about engaging people with nature for the well being of the Earth & humankind. These interests, studies & experiences have supported me in facilitating creative & environmental education workshops, bush playgroups & forest school sessions as well as participation in community art projects & events.
The Earth Flower Wilding workshops & classes are creative, nature inspired experiences embedded with mindfulness, sustainability & Earth spirit. Thoughtfully designed with a holistic approach incorporating opportunities to soulfully engage the mind, body & heart space. Recognising the linked benefits of connecting with oneself, community & nature.
In a world where technological advance & a screen heavy lifestyle ensues diminishing engagement with ourselves, each other & the environment. The activist embodied intent behind Earth Flower Wilding seeks to restore these connections.
Consciously & authentically connecting with ourselves, our community & natural world is paramount for nurturing a meaningful existence. Our relationship with nature is a reciprocal one, represented in ecological systems & emotive cycles. When we tune into this Mother Earth language, we connect with our true essence & become immersed within the journey of returning home. This is where I believe the key to thriving fulfilment & transforming our future for the better resides.
Join me fellow Earth Flowers, it’s time for the wilding…
